This file must remain at the root of your CADKEY installation. If you need help with registering and getting a license file, please send our Customer Service team an email at register@cadkey.com or call 508-229-2020 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Support for 3D Controllers -------------------------- This will work with any device supported by the latest 3DxWare driver from 3Dconnexion, to download latest driver visit www.3Dconnexion.com The Control3D.CDE is located in your CDE subdirectory as one of the Bonus CDEs from your V21.5 installation. Put Control3D.CDE in your autoload list, and as long as you start the 3DxWare driver before starting CADKEY, you'll have full support for your 3D motion controller when you start CADKEY. All of the interface is provided by the 3DxWare driver that you can find in your system tray. Nothing is added to the CADKEY interface by this CDE. The only button that the CDE responds to is the "Pick" button. It brings up a prompt for a new center position, and re-centers the view on that coordinate. Other functions, such as autoscale, can be assigned to device buttons through the User Macro capabilities of the 3DxWare driver. Simply create a macro with Ctrl-A or Alt-A (whichever you use for autoscale), and assign that macro to one of your buttons. Just as with the dynamic rotate function, when you start rotating in either HLR or HLD mode, CADKEY will switch into a faster HLR/HLD rendering mode, which may not be as accurate as the regular HLR/HLD mode. When you release the ball, it will switch back to the regular HLR/HLD mode. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDK Help Files and Documentation -------------------------------- The Help Files and Documentation for the CADKEY SDK can be found in a Debug installation in the SDK/Docs subdirectory. This information has been provided in both a HLP file format and in Microsoft Word format. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sample CDEs in the SDK ---------------------- There are now many sample CDEs available for you to help come up to speed on the new SDK for CADKEY. There is also a CDEWizard.awx file that can be used with Visual Studio to help get you started making CDEs. If you have questions then please send an email to sdk@cadkey.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Improvements and Bug Fixes in CADKEY V21.5 products --------------------------------------------------- * Performance improvements have been made in many areas including printing, display of TrueType fonts, HLR and HLD display, detailed Fasteners and Features, and the general performance of large files. * Print speed has been improved, particularly in reducing the amount of time from when the print dialog is dismissed to regaining useful control of the cursor. * Display Performance when using undocked toolbars has been improved, though it is still slower than using docked toolbars. * ACIS SAT versions from R1.5 - R11 are now supported * Parasolid versions are now supported up to 14.1.216 * Pro/E import now supports: v16-20, 2000i, 2000i2, 2001 * IGES translation has been significantly improved, particularly in solids and surface support. * DWG/DXF translation has been improved. * Fasteners: multiple small errors in geometry have been corrected. * Added support for Gears, Racks, Structural Shapes, Springs. * Added surface edge matching capability * Section Views: Multiple issues with the accuracy of section views have been corrected, both in model and layout mode. * Layout instances now have substantially increased control and robustness in handling HLR and HLD.
